Kelly-Ann Denton practices as a professional artist and photographer in the commercial, commissioned, fine art & educational domain. Kelly-Ann Denton works vocationally executing commissions for architects, designers & agencies whilst parallelling a career as an award winning fine art photographer.
Commencing her practice in 1994, & showing in more than 30 exhibitions she holds a postgraduate degree in visual art & lectures in art photography at the Australian Centre for Photography & Sydney College of the Arts, The University of Sydney.
Awards include: The Olive Cotton Award for Portraiture 2009 [Tweed River Art Gallery], Projections 08 ACMP (Australian Commercial & Media Photoraphers) award for best emerging talent; and Sydney Life, the City of Sydney Prize for photography in 2008 and also in 2010; Finalist in the National Photographc Prize 2010.
Her work was featured as part of the HeadOn Photofestival in 2010: Head On Screen, Between Art & Documentary: A selection of Australian & International Photographers and the Subculture Night at The Australian Centre for Photography.
